Black Hive CrossFit Gym Re-opening Guidelines & Procedures
While the gym doors have been closed, we have been busy building a better Black Hive. Using feedback from you and your fellow athletes, we have improved our facilities, enhanced our coaching procedures, and expanded our gym schedules.
As we move closer to opening up the gyms, we want you all to know that we are ready to coach every athlete, in every box, during every class, better than ever. Here’s is how:
We will be open all day:
From the first class in the morning until the last class at night, a coach will be at the gym. WOD with the scheduled class, or come in for one of the open class hours, and WOD on your own.
More details about Open Class
Cleanest facilities around:
While this is no shock to those who know I like the gym to be exceptionally clean, we will continue to disinfect daily, and multiple times throughout the day, and will request our athletes to clean and disinfect their equipment as well. We are in this together.
Limits to class size:
We will limit the class sizes at each facility to the recommended number of athletes allowed and is safe for each facility. We need your help by reserving your coached classes or open class blocks ahead of time and showing up for that class. Of course, if you must cancel, please do so as early as possible to allow someone else to use that class block.
Each athlete should have access to a platform in each gym and should be separated by a 6-8 foot bubble. We reset our facilities to allow a workout station for each athlete. We will show you how to use that space properly, so please give the coach the opportunity to explain before moving forward in a class.
During scheduled classes, expect coaches to lead with an enhanced flow based on the curriculum. Athletes will be asked to follow along with the coach’s movement demonstrations and workout direction.
We’ve spent hours discussing and performing continued education for operators and coaches. We plan to hold our coaches to a renewed standard of excellence, ensuring each athlete is getting the most out of their time at the gym, and the most out of the day’s WOD based on their goals and needs.
We will not be allowing drop-in clients to ensure we can both maximize member access and greatly reduce the likelihood of infection from athletes from other areas of the country (or world.)
Using the Wodify app:
In an effort to eliminate excessive congregation, we request all athletes use the Wodify app on their personal mobile devices to input scores and check in to classes.
We truly do appreciate you and all you have done throughout this time as many of you have kept your membership active in-order to make sure we had a gym to come home too! For that, I am truly grateful.
Most importantly, we used this time to get better. We believe in open lines of communication and you can always feel free to reach out anytime to firstname.lastname@example.org. We encourage you to give us your feedback and hope you love all the new changes and updates!
